EMDR Intensive
Why an Intensive?
Traditional talk therapy is a long-term support system to help you work through life challenges over time. But two things keep coming up for you:
Your schedule is demanding and unpredictable, making a weekly therapy appointment feel overwhelming.
You feel like you need a lot of help, and quickly. The idea of spending months in talk therapy makes it feel impossible to ever feel better.
Beneifts of an intensive
Intensives eliminate the need for months of living with trauma symptoms and the impacts they have on daily life and general wellbeing.
Since sessions are completed over three to five days, therapy goals can be achieved in a shorter period of time.
While there is a larger upfront cost, the shorter duration of treatment over all can save money.
What is an EMDR Intensive?
EMDR Intensives are concentrated and extended sessions of EMDR therapy. Instead of the traditional weekly sessions, EMDR Intensives involve longer, uninterrupted blocks of time, often spanning multiple days. This format aims to accelerate the therapeutic process and address issues more comprehensively.
About our EMDR Intensive Program
My EMDR intensive program is ideal if you want to expedite treatment results. You are given exclusive access to appointments reserved for the EMDR intensive program, and you will typically be able to get started within a few weeks, drastically reducing your wait time in getting started. The Intensive is individualized to meet your specific needs.
All EMDR intensive sessions are face-to-face sessions with Dr. Kim who is a certified EMDR therapist and EMDR Consultant in Training. At this time I do not offer telehealth EMDR intensives.
Paying for my intensive
This service is private pay only. Due to the extended session times insurance will not cover intensive sessions.
Please note that total cost will depend on the number of intensive sessions needed, which we will determine collaboratively during your pre-intensive session.
What your intensive includes
Free Phone Consultation (20 min) –This is the time to discuss your request for an EMDR Intensive, review the issues that bring you to therapy, and get your questions answered, including more information about our Intensive program and fees.
